The winds of change I hear them blow
The winds of change I can feel
Whooshing through a new found route
They fly past the tall green trees
In the direction that’s all new
Over the meandering rivers and streams
The winds of change with them they flow
The winds of change that I do not see
In their wanderlust, to the height they soar
Dancing like a wassailer drunk and glee
On reaching the Levant, like the Leo they roar
Watching the sun rise in the east
The winds of change that have no color to show
The winds of change with pure spirit so free
Like a fair inamorata, their love they pour
Spraying pollens from flora and scattering seeds
And carry the rainy clouds to parched soils they know
Thereby ensuring new life to those in need
The winds of change doing their chore
The winds of change like the chaffinch sings
Gushing through my curls and the wools I wore
Whispers to me to wake up from my dreams
As its time for a new life and things all new to do
With these words gone was the busy breeze
The winds of change I heard them blow
The winds of change I still feel
