Persistence

Persistence

One Tree, the family
Of leaves and shoots branched apart
Perched on same soil,
Cheered at the same bird-song
In Festive reunion sprite
Rooted with ties that bind,
Together at sad and happy times
Times ahead, generation scaled
Blooming of new spring flowers happen
Keystones gone, bricks fell apart
Like the burst of pollen shower
Seeds have sprang up new lives
Many more trees now standing tall
Rooted beneath to that same soil
Yet so far away, distant from own
New ways, new pace
Fading away is past
Only memories will persist and last
