The Moon

The Moon

If Stars held our destiny,
The Moon they say hold our dreams
On the backdrops of a black blue sky,
Shining like a silver shield
To heaven it belongs, bears to earth a witness
Owns the night, an elegant heiress
Diana, Luna, Selene call what you may
She ramps the starwalk, in her determinant way
To her own will, to her own whims
Crazy crescent plays a game of shapes
With its charm it casts a spell
Deep dark mystique as well
Dazzles and showers its aura divine
Lullabies to hearts that pine
Inspire lone hearts to rhyme
At the end of each day, starts a new Once upon a time...

Grey

GREY
Copyright © SHRAVANI MUKHERJEE
O! to run, to belong nowhere
Thanatos taketh far away
Into His land, colored grey
Life and soul have no role to play
Conscious mind donot here stay
No joy, no feel, no emotion tamed
No “Whys” and “Hows” no one to blame
Frozen clock, cold and pale
No tears, sorrow, heartaches and pain
Lost or finally settled in lonely terrains
Grounded in deep burial of barren
A search for peace, my eventual end.
