However hard I try

Just cannot understand why

Honest! This is no lie

But I’m just not able to fly

Been always the simple and regular type

The burden of expectations heaped on me

By you and people from time to time

Maybe….thats the reason why

 I’m just not able to fly

One day!! I’ll grow my wings, yeah mine!!

And not be just a rebel who voices but sighs

That day I’ll reach my goal in the heights

But till then, I just can’t fly….!

Am I the human I used to be?

Why am I still here?

I keep writhing in this pain

Yet, why am I breathing the air?

I am crying here all broken and hurt

Yet I am not dead (….just like I feared!)

Always knew I had a will power too strong

That would shield my life so dear

My strength and will to live over-powering my body’s wish

Voices are loud, but it is my desperation

That so clearly I can right now hear

And I wonder why I still wish to live!?

That’s when my open eyes shed the one last tear

They say, First love don’t last;

But I know, You are here to stay.

They say - First love don’t trust!

But I know, In You.. I have my faith

They say:" First love is just a crush..

You two will get over it soon"

They say:" First love, keep it hush..

You’ll forget it as Sun sets for Moon!"

But My Love, I don’t care

All what they have to say

Cuz, I got

Just this one heart to give away

And when that’s gone..

How am I to go about?

For a second time at the end of the day?

Likewise my heart leaps to the cloud nine

Peace and Joy, I can feel at the same time

After all from this day on, You are forever mine!

This moment is precious than a thousand dozens and dimes

Its our love that is sparkling in both of our eyes

Now, there stand no more reasons nor rhymes

You and me driving to the sunset point

On a lazy afternoon

The perfect happy two on the uphill roads

The streets we seemed to own

Singing our favorite song

Our first dance i still cherish on its tune

And that was when we drove our lovebug

That lazy afternoon

O! What a beautiful day it was

And the night we had before..

The waltz, the moon, the song and the kiss

It was our love growing more

And then with that sparkling ring

You sealed our bond for sure

The memories rushed by as we drove our lovebug

That lazy afternoon

You smiled at me and held my hand

The jewel had a newfound glow

You kissed the rock and said...."Wait my dear,

We will be reaching the summit soon

And at the sunset point, as promised -

I'll propose to you!...."

The happy sunshine showers on us as we drive our lovebug

That lazy afternoon

Suddenly the crimson sky coughed up greys

And a cloud of dust blew

Blinding our dreamy eyes in which a new fear settled in,

The fear of losing....You!

So, I reached out my hand for you dear

But you were already holding hers..

And then I knew, this was a dream all along

Yes!! that was when our lovebug crashed
