The Escapist

The Escapist

Just like the retreating ocean’s tide
Just like the sunset in vanilla twilight
Just like the rainbow after a colourful sight
Just like the friend with whom you had a fight
Just like the song when you lose the melody
Just like the pain after a remedy
Just like the fear at every new challenge
Just like the youth as there advents age
Just like the crescent before new-moon
Just like the overhead shadow after noon
Just like the lover after his promise
Just like the life after death hath kissed
To be gone in search of respite
Away far away, O the escapist arise!

The 7 Ironies of Life!

The 7 Ironies of Life!

To define the good theres ought to be bad
To see the light you should be first lost in dark
Devil has to be there to ensure you follow the Angel
Truth tastes bitter after sugar-coated lies
Hope arrives when you are utterly despaired
Only when you lose, you know the joy of gain
Theres always a new beginning after every end

The Full Moon

The Full Moon

Its that hour of the day when..
Waiting for Hypnos to sing his lullaby
But staring from the curtained panes
Is the pearly Selene in the night sky
Many a Endymion hath fallen
Tangled in her web amor
The enchantress of Nyx
She is the Diana hallowed
A silvery shield, very gloriously pale
From atop the Olympian highs
Awed and revered by the twinkles
The stars are showering in Luna’s light
The full moon enchantingly bewitches
And drowns me in somnolence away from all plights

REFLECTION

REFLECTION

Never a perfection ofcourse
But not even a good mirror to my faults
Walking on rose strewn path,
Hidden beneath are thorns
Wish for cognizance and  insights
To pick my wrongs from my rights

The Autumn Leaf

The Autumn Leaf

A green not in its prime
Dried and frail with time
The beauty it still hath
With deep venations scratched
Glorius gold lying on the dust
An autumn leaf in its rust
